Korn Ferry Tour's Visit Knoxville Open Moves to Holston Hills CC   

The PGA Tour and Tour Vision Promotions have announced that the Korn Ferry Tour’s newly named Visit Knoxville Open will move to historic Holston Hills Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee beginning in 2020. A five-year agreement is in place through 2024. “We are very proud to host the Visit Knoxville Open,” said Holston Hills Director of Golf Chris Dibble, “And excited to work closely with the Korn Ferry Tour.” Read More    

McConnell Golf Selected to Manage Porter's Neck CC   

McConnell Golf has entered into a partnership with Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C. The club's Board selected McConnell Golf Alliance — the private club operations division of McConnell Golf — to manage the club, which is tucked away along the Intracoastal Waterway minutes from local beaches and historic downtown Wilmington, and features a Tom Fazio-designed golf course. Led by perennial stalwarts Old North State Club, Sedgefield CC, Raleigh CC and Treyburn CC, McConnell Golf again dominates North Carolina Golf Panel’s Top 100 courses for 2019. The Country Club of Asheville makes one of the year’s biggest jumps, up 11 to No. 48 in the state, while Brook Valley CC in Greenville enters NC’s Top 100 for the first time. Read More   

Greensboro's Sedgefield Country Club Dye Course Becomes Semi-Private  

McConnell Golf has announced that on March 1, 2019, the Sedgefield Country Club Dye Course near Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro will become a semi-private facility and will restore its original name, The Cardinal by Pete Dye. Read More   

Charlotte's Providence Country Club Unveils Freshly Renovated Golf Course  

Providence CC is prepared to unveil its newly restored golf course on Friday, August 31. Greensboro-based golf course architect Kris Spence oversaw the renovation work, which began in February and was completed ahead of schedule. Raleigh-based McConnell Golf purchased Providence CC in early 2016 and has invested more than $5 million in capital improvements. Read More

Standout William Noblitt Joins Providence CC as Director of Tennis  

When Charlotte’s Providence Country Club hired William Noblitt as its new Director of Tennis last month, the club gained not only a talented instructor but also one of the state’s best and most accomplished players. Considered among N.C. State’s greatest tennis players ever, Noblitt was a two-time Wolfpack team captain and earned back-to-back All-ACC honors his junior and senior years. He remains tied for the all-time career victories list at State with 87 and is top-10 in numerous other career school records. Read More
